Zak Williams Speaks On Losing His Father To Suicide and How Being Of Service Changed His Life

My Guest Today, Zak Williams, son of the late and great Robin Williams, has gone through a lot in the past after the death of his father, who died by suicide in 2004. Zak worked hard to overcome anxiety and depression. He is now a Mental Health Advocate and the Co-Founder and CEO of PYM (Prepare Your Mind), which produces all-natural amino acid-infused mood chews to support life’s ups and downs, and is passionate about helping others deal with their mental health issues.
In this episode, Zak shares with me his personal experience dealing with anxiety and depression during his teenage years after losing a friend by suicide, which worsened when his father died of suicide. He explains how he used to suppress the anxiety instead of dealing with it, which came back with a vengeance.
Zak reminds us that people are going through a lot, and many of them don’t have the tools and people around to help them overcome the challenges. Also, learning to be of help and service to humanity has a massive healing element.
