David Neagle meets a LIVIN legend at Moranbah

Our awesome LIVIN ambassador and Invictus Games competitor David Neagle, recently had the honour of meeting a very exceptional individual by the name of Luke Mawson.

Luke is a Year 9 student at Moranbah State High School and is also a pillar of the local community when it comes to raising awareness of mental health issues and reducing the stigma surrounding them.  His dedication in spreading the message about the importance of addressing mental illnesses has been demonstrated through his involvement in arranging numerous fundraisers and awareness activities.

David’s visit to Moranbah State High School was another initiative of Luke’s and coincided with Mental Health Week. David was able to speak to the students about the importance of speaking up when it comes to mental health and understanding the organisations that can be contacted for help and advice.

It is our ambassadors like David and motivators like Luke that keep our LIVIN message reaching people and talking about mental health and mental illness.  These conversations and discussions are essential in helping to reduce the amount of people who suffer in silence with mental illness and encourage these young adults throughout high schools across Australia that It Ain’t Weak to Speak.
