Dubbo community shares the LIVIN message

Our LIVIN message, It Ain’t Weak to Speak continues to connect communities and reach out to families who have been directly affected by mental illness and suicide.   

Our LIVIN Co-founder Sam Webb spent time with the Meredith family in Dubbo, New South Wales who arranged the annual Tradies Breakfast in memory of their son, brother and friend, Perry Meredith who lost his life in November 2016.

The event was a great success and supported by the whole community all of whom were in some way affected by the tragic loss of Perry. 

Having social events such as the Tradies Breakfast is a great platform for people to meet up and discuss mental health in a relaxed and familiar environment. Every gesture of awareness no matter how big or small, is moving community groups into a more positive mindset when it comes to dealing with mental illness and understanding mental health.

What we have learned here at LIVIN is that every call for help starts with a conversation and the more conversations we can have, the more people will speak up.

Thank you to Mark, Liz, Kendall and Jarred Meredith for letting LIVIN be a part of your sons legacy, and a special mention goes to Pip who organised the event which continues to help break the stigma surrounding mental health.
